A lone red lotus rises on a slender stem, with two buds at its base, inside a brass frame shaped like the arches of an old Indian palace. Each petal and leaf is cut from coloured stone and set by hand into solid white marble. The edge is scalloped and finished with a softly raised rim.
The platter weighs about 2.3 kg, so it sits firmly on any surface and doesn’t slide around. Bring it out for cheese, sweets or drinks, keep it as a centrepiece, or use it to bring order to a dresser. It’s meant for everyday use, not just for the shelf.
